2. Why should I choose LaserSharp FlexPak Services for my packaging needs?

First of all, we’re different than other packaging companies. We use the latest technology and advanced laser systems to complete your scoring and perforating needs for flexible packaging films. From start to finish, we’ll work with you to choose the correct process and time frame for your project. No job is too big or too small. Learn more about us.

3. Why should I choose lasers for my packaging needs?

Laser technology provides advantages when compared to mechanical processing methods. By using LaserSharp® technology, FlexPak ensures consistent score depths and hole sizes regardless of web speed. LaserSharp® equipment permits a non-contact, clean, and precise method for processing packaging materials. Click here for a complete list detailing why lasers are the superior option compared to traditional methods.

4. What materials are suitable for laser processing?

Materials best suited for laser processing are those with a narrow liquid to vapor temperature range. These materials include polyester, polypropylene, nylon, shrink films, PVC, metalized films, and polyethylene. Multilayer laminates are also ideal for laser scoring because while one layer absorbs the laser beam for a precise score line, the other layers or barriers remain untouched. For more details, please see our laser scoring and laser perforating options.

5. What can I expect out of a trial?

7. When did LaserSharp FlexPak Services open its doors?

LaserSharp FlexPak Services was founded in 2008 as a sister company to LasX Industries to specialize in providing laser processes and services to the flexible packaging industry. We use five in-house roll-fed LaserSharp® systems to offer this technology on a toll converting basis. In November 2010, we expanded our facility to accommodate the increased request for laser processed flexible packaging applications and run larger volume projects. For more details, click here.
